Most of the participants of the Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala 2018 festival were announced at the news conference about the annual festival, said the festival’s producer, Elita Mīlgrāve.
“It can be said that the intrigue which has been in the air since spring has been solved because many fans of the key summertime musical rendezvous were looking forward to learn about the festival’s program and the line-up,” she said.
By tradition, Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala which this year will take place from July 19 to July 22 comprises four evening shows and this year each of the shows has been named after its theme. According to Mīlgrāve, the festival’s program this year will be as follows:

Many fans will be delighted to learn that the legendary eccentrics – the Litsedei pantomime group – will perform at the festival. The master performers from St. Petersburg will bring to the Rendezvous festival their delicate and expressive art which represents a cocktail of pantomime, clownery and tragifarce.
Although the program announced by the organizers already is very impressive, Mīlgrāve promises that more stars will still be added to the festival’s line-up this year. “Every year the festival surprises the spectators with a stunning selection of stars by Laima. The festival’s founder will not only perform herself every night but will also act as the hostess of the shows which makes the whole occasion especially glamorous,” Mīlgrāve said, adding that the line-up can still change because Laima Vaikule keeps adding new names and perfecting the festival’s program.
The producer also promised more performances with participation of Ballet Freedom. The unique dance company which cooperates also with Cirque du Soleil and Dita Von Teese is working on an amazing program specifically for the festival which is going to be surprisingly vast this year.
