The third international music festival “Laima Rendez Vous Jūrmala” will take place from 20th to 23rd of July at Concert Hall Dzintari in Jurmala, Latvia. The line-up of more than 50 popular and beloved artists will be accompanied by live music from “Laima’s Orchestra”, consisting of 20 professional musicians, creating impressive and colorful show.
On 20th of July the Liepaja Symphony Orchestra will open the festival and Metropolitan Opera star soprano Kristine Opolais will have one of her rare performances in Latvia. Russian pop musicians Jelena Vaenga, Valerij Leontjev, Valerij Syutkin, Uzari from Belarus and Zlata Ognevich from Ukraine will perform as solo artists and duet partners. Latvia will be represented by Intars Busulis, Janis Stibelis, Justs and Aija Andrejeva. International crossover band DAGAMBA will merge classsical music with contemporary and create previously unheard collaborations with other festival artists.
On 21st of July Chris Norman, the leader of the legendary band “Smokie”, will take to the “Dzintari” Concert Hall stage. Academic music will be represented by charming New York Metropolitan diva Hibla Gerzmava. Popular artists from many different countries will continue to perform on the second night of the festival, festival guests will have a chance to see performances by Leonid Agutin, Vladimir Presnjakov, energetic duo “Potap i Nastja”, pop band “Gradusi”, singer Natalya Podolskaya, Estonian singer and Eurovision contestant Ott Lepland. Samanta Tina will join Intars Busulis and Janis Stibelis as performers from Latvia.
Composer and singer Stas Mihailov will perform on the third night of the festival – 22nd of July. He will be joined by Arkadiy Ukupnik, Lolita, singer and comedia Vladimir Vinokur, energetic boy band MBAND and group A’Studio from Kazakhstan. Antra Stafecka, Markus Riva and Janis Stibelis will bring Latvian charm to this night of the festival.
23rd of July, the final night of the festival, guests will be entertained by legendary Georgian singers Vakhtang Kikabidze, Nani Bregvadze and Valery Meladze as well as Gennadiy Hazanov, Azerbaijan-born singer Emin, talanted new singer and “The Voice” contestant Alexandr Panayotov. Ukrainian singer Irina Bilika, colorful duo “Vremja i Steklo”, the Eurovision 2015 winner Måns Zelmerlöw from Sweden and the young estonian singer Liis Lemsalu will be added to the already impressive line up. Intars Busulis , Janis Stibelis and Eurovision contestant Aminata will perform this evening as well.
Laima Vaikule has managed to bring together musicians from different musical backgrounds and generations, and Vaikule herself will perform multiple times during the festival. The listeners will be delighted by never before seen duets, well-known melodies and musical surprises
All performers will be accompanied by live music, which will be provided by “Laima Orchestra” of more than 20 professional musicians, and “Freedom Ballet” dancers from Kiev will make each night even more colorful.
Even more additions to the line-up are expected and will be announced before the festival.
